Detachable Wheels: Roll When You Want, Carry When You Do Not

Most rolling bags commit you to wheels permanently — they add weight, take up interior space, and make the bag awkward to carry by hand. The Travel Bag 2.0 Roller Edition solves this with a detachable system that clicks on and off in seconds. Roll through the airport, then pop the wheels off for a cab ride, a boat, or storage at home.

Rolling Bags That Meet Carry-On Requirements

The Travel Bag 2.0 Roller Edition is carry-on approved on over 100 airlines, even with the wheels attached. Skip the check-in line, avoid up to $65 in baggage fees, and keep your bag with you from gate to gate. The soft-sided construction also compresses into tight overhead bins where hard-shell rollers sometimes get gate-checked.

Rolling Duffel Bags vs Hard-Shell Suitcases

Hard-shell suitcases protect fragile items but are rigid — they will not squeeze into a full overhead bin or a car trunk that is already packed. The Travel Bag 2.0 gives you wheels when you need them and the flexible packing of a duffel bag. It holds 38+ items of clothing and 5 pairs of shoes with room to spare.

FAQs about rolling bags

Can you remove the wheels from Vohxe rolling bags?

Yes. The Travel Bag 2.0 Roller Edition has a detachable wheel system that clicks on and off in seconds. You can also buy the Detachable Roller separately if you already own the Classic edition.

Are rolling duffel bags allowed as carry-ons?

Yes. The Travel Bag 2.0 Roller Edition meets carry-on size limits on 100+ airlines, wheels included. Soft-sided rolling duffels fit overhead bins better than many hard-shell rollers.

Is a rolling bag or backpack better for the airport?

Rolling bags are better for long terminal walks and smooth floors. Backpacks are better for stairs and city streets. The Travel Bag 2.0 lets you switch — roll in the airport, remove wheels and shoulder-carry outside.

Can the wheels be removed?

Yes. The roller system detaches in seconds, so the same bag works as a wheeled carry-on through the terminal and a shoulder duffel once you arrive.

Do the wheels take up packing space?

Because the roller detaches, you are not carrying permanent wheel housing and frame bulk on trips where you do not need it.

Are rolling bags allowed as carry-on?

Yes. The bag is sized for carry-on on over 100 airlines with the roller attached.
